Mason, who has been in the Service upwards of four years, having been appointed by the Colonial Office back to the Registrar General on the 3rd March 1852.
Mr. Mason has acted for 3 years as Deputy Registrar, and Registrar for 4 months in the end of 1854, and beginning of 1865, and has respectably and competently performed the duties of the Office. As a temporary measure I have continued him in the situation, and I now submit his nomination for confirmation in the office of Deputy Registrar.
